Aliases sign to Basick Records

Aliases, the Manchester band by ex-SikTh guitarist Graham 'Pin' Pinney, have signed to Basick Records, a label that other artists such as Chimp Spanner, Monuments, Fellsilent and No Made Sense have also signed to in the past. Aliases played at this year's Euroblast Festival, which Basick Records founder Nathan 'Barley' Phillips was also attending. Barley comments: "After hearing all the demos and then subsequently having my face ripped off by Aliases' live show at Euroblast in Germany, I just knew that we had to sign them." Consequently, Aliases' (as of yet) untitled six track EP will be released by Basick Records in 2011.

Aliases recently played a gig in The Lounge Bar (Alton Community Center), Alton, of which there is some live footage available, which can be viewed below.

First of all, so happy to see that they are signed to Basick!
Although they have played two gigs thus far, fans have posted plenty of videos to watch.

This is why i hate youtube videos sometimes...
What this video doesn't tell you, is that none of the cabs were mic'd up, there were no monitors and vocals were only coming out of the FOH system which was way in front of the stage - so Jay couldn't hear a thing. In fact, the 'soundguy' pretty much just pushed all the faders up to full and then fucked off to the bar when the guys came on.
Euroblast sounded great.
This gig sounded rubbish.
I was at both shows, and believe me, this band are incapable of being shit.

The video quality is a bit low, but Aliases have only played two gigs so far, so there isn't that much live footage to go around Smile

I dno what ur talking about Arcadia Fades. This band is amazing. Maybe not this recording. Maybe try listening to their song on myspace. If ur not interested, dont bother commenting.
