Animals as Leaders may sign to Sumerian Records
MetalSucks.net posted an article reviewing day one of the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival. The article comments on many bands performances including Turbid North, The Faceless, Ultrageist, Structures, and Veil Of Maya.
Tosin Abasi of Animals As Leaders announced "Thanks to Sumerian Records for putting this show on...We haven’t signed with Sumerian yet." This slip of the tongue seems to indicate that a deal with Sumerian Records is imminent. In addition, they recently signed T.R.A.M., a new band featuring Tosin Abasi on guitars. Animals as Leaders were previously signed to Prosthetic Records and have released only one album through them.

I don't really care if Sumerian drops Asking Alexandria or any of their less-talented artists because unfortunately they bring in a strong amount of revenue for the label, allowing them to sign such bands as Structures and Animals as Leaders. Good on 'em if they both get signed!
I think they will eventually sign with Sumerian !
infact they are under (The Pantheon Booking Agency) http://www.pantheonagency.com/ which is also founded by Sumerian Founder (Ash) and as mentioned TRAM is already signed with them.
If they dropped Asking Alexandria, I See Stars and Bizzy Bone, they'd be the best label ever.
Haha. And I thought that Structures will be the next band to be signed by Sumerian...Oh well. Great move by Mr. Ash if that happens. This label is legendary minus dorky bands like Asking Alexandria and I See Stars.
Sumerian would be perfect for Animals As Leaders. This label just keeps getting better and better...
