The Interbeing: 'Edge Of The Obscure' details announced, album teaser available

The Interbeing have posted a teaser video for their upcoming debut album, titled 'Edge of the Obscure' on their YouTube channel. Watch it below. They have also announced that it will be released via Mighty Music/Target Distribution on May 2nd in Denmark, August 1st in Europe and worldwide in late 2011. The album is currently available for pre-order from targetshop.dk.

Thats good info GeN2Mo. I didnt know about the label. And your exactly right !! after the first release. Someone will upload this, and it will spread all over the web like a plauge, and a lot of royalties will have gone down the drain. It's best just to take care of the financial setbacks they might have, find an international label to distribute the music, and then release it. I know thats asking for a lot. But i think it would pay off in the long run.

Their label Mighty Music is a regional label, so the only release they can provide without too high expenses is a regional release. A europe-wide release needs more preperations, pressed CDs and promo, so it gets delayed.
And for the worldwide release: Mighty Music won't be able to handle this, they will first have to find another international partner to get this going. That's why the worldwide release date isn't even set.

While this has been done often and is quite understandable, I still think it is a bit unclever. By the time the album hits stores beyond the pacific, it will have been all over the internet for like 4 months or more. One hasn't got to be an economy specialist to predict that this will shrink down the mass of possible buyers to few collectors who feel best when they get an album the legal way.

I think the release dates are a little toooo far apart !! How the hell can you release it in DK in may, and then the rest of the world in LATE 2011 !! Stupid !!
