A map of djent: second edition

Remember our map of djent? In December last year, we posted a visualisation of the popularity of the bands in our site database. The results were somewhat controversial. Since then, got-djent.com has continued to grow and a lot more data is available now. That's why the map has now been updated.

The second edition of the 'map of djent' features 167 bands, 37 more than the first. Over 12000 'become a fan' links have been clicked on the site as of today. At the time the first map was created, only 7500 had been clicked. This means a lot more data is available now, leading to a better representation of our users' preferences.

Overall, not a lot has changed. It's a bit more crowded, and the most popular bands are now even more tightly knit together. To view the full-size version of the map, please click the small version below.
