Meshuggah announce details about 2011 release

13

As we reported, last Monday Meshuggah streamed parts of their 2010 DVD 'Alive' and answered fan-asked questions on the Nuclear Blast streaming room. During this session, they also revealed some details about their upcoming 2011 release. The band are apparently hoping to put out a new album in September or October of this year.

Commenting about the sound of the new album, drummer Tomas Haake said (as paraphrased by MetalInjection): "We have a sound that we are going for. We were pretty happy with how the production came out on obZen, and the new album is kind of in that vein, but there will always be a bit of difference." The album will not be mixed by the band themselves, but by Daniel Bergstrand, who also worked with them on 'Chaosphere' and 'Destroy Erase Improve'.

Sweet - Something amazing from the inventors. I'm sure it will be sick as usual!

+1

I'm saving for limited edition or awesome pre-order packages now, and saving money for shows in Australasia.

This album will be insane.

Ohh this is getting exciting.
Let's hope the production is a little better than Bergstrand's previous works with Meshuggah.
