Periphery: album sampler and short video update available
Periphery have posted a sampler for their as of yet untitled upcoming album on their Myspace page.
They have also posted a video announcement on Metal Injection. It seems that the rumours that began to surface yesterday are true - Periphery has a new vocalist, by the name of Spencer Sotelo. To hear him, listen to the sampler or check out his Myspace.
In the video, the band also discuss their touring plans. As we reported earlier, they will be embarking on a tour with Veil of Maya, Circle of Contempt and Animals As Leaders at the end of this month. After this, they are doing a short tour with God Forbid and Kittie. Dates are as follows:
March 3: The Opera House, Toronto, Ontario
March 4: Underworld, Montreal, Quebec
March 6: Starland Ballroom, Sayreville, New Jersey
March 7: Volume 11, Raleigh, North Carolina
March 9: Crocodile Rockodile, Allentown, Pennsylvania
March 10: V Club, Huntington, West Virginia
March 11: Mad Hatter, Covington, Kentucky

People are now speculating about Chris Baretto being Haunted Shores's new singer. Which is frankly what I thought would happen all along

Hmm.
The sampler is pretty awesome, though there are a lot of cleans on it. I hope the album itself is a little more balanced in that respect. Not that they don't sound fucking epic, at any rate.
