interview with Misha Mansoor of Periphery, recording available

This evening, Maz Star of radio conducted a 20 minute phone interview with Misha Mansoor of Periphery, while the band were gearing up for a show with The Dillinger Escape Plan, Animals As Leaders and Darkest Hour in California later tonight. In it, he discusses touring, the 'djent movement', influences, their signing to Roadrunner Records, the leaking of their album a week prior to its release, and more. An unedited recording of the interview is available for download from Sendspace (18MB).

Another phone interview with Misha Mansoor was conducted by the Berklee Internet Radio Network (BIRN) in December last year. A recording of this is available as well.

Thank you benanne, I wasn't aware it had leaked... Smile

Even though I don't really care for Spencer's growls, I must say that the vocal phrasing fits sooo well with Misha's instrumentation. Can't wait for my copy to get here.

Didn't know Misha was a Prefuse 73 and Telefon Tel Aviv fan. Nice.

The tracks for the EP are likely to be Absolomb, Frak the Gods, Not Enough Mana and more, apparently. Smile

no problem at all Smile

Thanks benanne Smile
