Yeah I know.
What can you do? This guy needs to be heard, man! If he didn't get tossed, he'd be as big as Tompkins, by now, I'm betting!
Too far and few between, those that can really sing!
Hokenstyfe, chill out lol. Don`t worry. Something big is coming.
Glad your aware of what Luciani is doing! Though the Means End ep has been released here for quite some time now. So long in fact, I'm a little pissed they haven't dropped something else, since then.
Also, Robert Luciani here, is known as site member 'r3tex'. Maybe you can PM him to let him know, we can not wait any longer, god damn it!
Release that full-length already!
For anyone interested in what the clean vocalist from "Shiver" is doing these days
. Freaking awesome.
Nobody's complaining? Right
If you think their style change is because they're signed to a label now, you'd be sorely mistaken. I'm pretty sure the 'old Vildhjarta' was much, much more marketable.
Woh, fearless leader, nobody's complaining, just sayin'. They sold themselves one way and now are another way. Sometimes when your faced with the pressure of big business, sometimes you change in unexpected ways. Before Luciani departed, was this, what you would think of 'Vildhjarta'? I am insulating myself from disappointment. I do not want to expect the same song over & over. Loss of cleans will limit the effect of triumph, tragedy, grief & sorrow that is associated with fantasy stories.
I hear it now,"it wasn't much of a fantasy/concept story, but it was a pretty good musical piece of work". It will be an awesome cd even if it doesn't live up to the vision. AWKWARD...
Shiver wouldn't fit on this album at all. And if they reworked it to fit (which would result in it being almost unrecognisable, I'm sure), you would all complain even more anyway
Yeah I thought it was a mistake not to have 'Shiver' on the album! I figured they don't have anyone that can sing clean as Robert Luciani could. The whole dynamic of Vildhjarta is now more linear. Maybe deeper dark but limited with it's scope. The contrast with a vocalist with clean range can bring more complex pieces, vocals are another instrument. I am in support of their music, but fear they have limited their range! Not sure if the distance between Uneven Structure and Vildhjarta should be as close as it is now, as opposed to before...November 28th anyway!
God dammit! I just realized that the older song of their I ripped onto my iPod a long time ago I misnamed! The song I THOUGHT was "Traces" is actually called "Shiver"! "Shiver" is my favorite song by these guys so far and now I just realized it is nowhere in the track listing for the album! Now I am pissed as that is an epic fucking song that is catchy as all hell! What's the deal with this omission?!! I personally believe it to be one of the best songs I've heard this year!
Keep the fingers crossed.....hopefully it will blast us away.
Anyway, the snippets of Traces sound to me like a "over-rewritten" version of the sensational Demo track.
Even if the Album is not the long awaited Sensation, pleeeeeze don´t let us wait so long for more stuff!
After listening to the samples, I am both excited and bracing for major disappointment at the same time. The actual song parts I hear are exciting, but the thing that worries me is how many of these clips feel like they are coming from instrumental interlude tracks instead of full songs. Of course it is hard to judge off of such small clips of each song and I am hoping that they just happened to have picked parts of the song that are less rocking to surprise us later. I love the old versions of both Traces and Eternal Golden Monk but the two new songs have me real concerned. I mean Benblast is cool but too much buildup and not enough main song which makes it feel kind of incomplete in itself. The one they just put up today just feels purely like an interlude and what concerns me is several of the Amazon clips feel like they may be the same way. I have been looking forward to this release a long time and hope there is a lot more meat on this album. I wish the reviewer gave us a real breakdown of how many of these tracks are full songs ("Traces"), how many are partial interludes ("Benblast"), and how many are pure instrumental interludes.
Not to make an issue of it, but, I think it's amazing r3tex is still checking on this band. Sometimes you don't know what's legit or not, and his response to someone he didn't know on a former band's post is jaw-dropping! Impressed with the respect. F*ckin' beyond cool!
KingJiggar, no problem, that's what the internet is for
~ Robert
Cool band. I liked their first few releases... but i'm still hoping they stay true to their roots and release an instrumental of this like Periphery and TesseracT did! Although the lack of clean vocals sounds really nice actually, i'll wait and see.
thall ^^
What your stating doesn't support your case. If your father was an opera singer I would only imagine he would of received amazing training. So he still developed problems which would suggest other factors. Yes, some sorts of singing will develop into problems, Tom Kiefer old singer of 80's band Cinderella come to mind. Then you got guys like Leto, still straining. Point is, trying to figure out who will cause damage to themselves is like predicting a car crash, Maestro...Your kids called, said; "tell my father to get off the commodore 64!"
LOL I TOTALLY DIDNT KNOW THAT
...
seriously I had no idea.
Sorry for the haterade, guy!
but seriously I've seen it happen to my dad who was an opera singer and nobody would dare tell him that he was singing incorrectly until one day he was in the hospital! Didn't sing for years after that! So whatever I'm sure I look like an ass, I just get all nervous when I think that somebody is singing like that and don't like it... not exactly the feeling i want from what im listening to
And Luciani is KING!
THALL.
@KingJiggar: r3tex IS Luciani
@KingJiggar
so wait... you didnt like luciani because he is gonna hurt his throat one day? this makes sense how?
Sorry champ, but the way that Chris Baretto, Spencer Sotelo and Dan Tompkins hit high notes is without strain. They elongate the chords to create higher pitches. Luciani just pushes the entire instrument upward. He's hitting the notes, yes, but give it time, he'll be calling avenged sevenfolds singer in an attempt to figure out what to do about his vocal strain. (The answer to that is surgery.)
Seriously come at me bro I've been a vocal teacher + coach for the past 10 years.
Dear diary, today I was a troll.
After hearing the Euroblast set in HD, I can't wait any longer! The vocals sound sick! Part 7 has elements of "All These Feelings". It sounds amazing!

Hi KingJiggar
Your ass is so tight that when you fart, only dogs can hear it.
Incorrect vocal straining? Tss, what do you know, you peon...
Kind regards,
~ Mr. Magnanimous
Man, I hope the vocals don't suck on the instrumental version. -_-

I'm telling you someone is going to get their feelings hurt. This has gone in an unintended direction. I like Vildhjarta and Means End. I like clean vocals and harsh vocals. The post that started this was a spin on anticipation of it's release. I feel that should be clear. Though I'm a bit excited, that for once young children took their shine serious. F*ckin' impressive! Tired of all you that are scared of confrontations. I was Thalling along and got trolled up by 'Masstaden' gimps. Ding dong the Gimp is dead...the Gimp is dead...ding dong the wicked Gimp is dead. Praise Satan.
Are you sure those aren't my kids....mmmm...
I don't think they did it to be really hard. It's not their fault doesn't really excel at anything vocally. Unlike the departure of Dan from TesseracT, I was totally stoked when Luciani left. This new guy isn't the most awesome thing in the world, but he's definitely better than Luciani. Also lol at "cleans." There is nothing clean about luciani's style, just some good old incorrect vocal straining and nasal annoyance.
This album has absolutely nothing to do with vocals. They are a tac-on bonus if you so need them. This album is pure twang and thall, and that is the draw. Listen to the dagger snippet, you'll find it difficult not to shit your pants.
And I'll totally continue it for that other guy. Bergstrom gets ideas from everything from disney to cristina aguilera. If it sounds like this I don't exactly care where they get it from. In fact, I'm going to need to dig up some disney VHSs and figure this whole thing out.
P.S. If his name is Vileheart, your name is now BROKENSDYKE! HAHA! I came up with that all on my own. Time to go tell my wife and kids how I made up a name for some kid on the internet because he replied to my post. Seriously dad, get off the computer.
You're fucking retarded.
Thall
guys I don't know if you have seen this vid but there actually seem to be clean vox on the cd...at least the had clean vox live:
clean vox start at 02:20...
Woh...slow down djentleman, nobody is criticizing sh*t! First, I'm a big guy, I got the 2xl bundle pre-order for your information. So that would be $24's u.s. I've invested in Vildhjarta. If anything you picked up on came across as being pissed, then you are too tightly spun. It was a sort of tongue-n-cheek uh-oh. I have never in my life, 36 years to be exact, criticized a band because I didn't like them musically. So sod off! Yes, some on this site know I prefer clean vocals to cookie monster vocals, but not at the cost of great music. How, why would I deprive myself?
As for Means End, you should check their ep. Post's. On the ep. And the band info, I have some of thee! First posts! I hate when jackasses, fan crush their love on their bands to the point of thalltardedness. New nickname VileHeart, yeah you are now known as Vileheart.
Now if you want to get technical, it's a shame, a band can get a clean vocalist, get signed on the strength of those songs with cleans. Then, after getting signed to a major record company fan boy their really tough side to show there're really hard. Oh,yeah with a Disney cover to their debut album. You want to continue this?
they've stated many times that they wanted to take their music in a dark direction. The vocalist that did the cleans and the band parted ways (he started/joined means end, go listen to them.) Shiver was a song they had recorded with decent quality not what really represented them or what they wanted to do. and it became a fan favorite. too bad.
It's interesting how you can comment and be pissed without even doing a google search on the matter first.
Ok so that's why no 'Shiver'? Can't do clean vocals. The only song I was looking forwards to from the few I did hear off Omnislash previously. Will not listen to anything else until I get pre-ordered bundle. So exciting. Just when you think you know what it's going to be, they change the THALL!!..but I still hope it's Thall..uh-oh?
THALL
Awesome, more pussies whining about vocals. Pretty much guarantee this will be album of the year.
Vocals are fine man. I don't understand you people
REALLY impressed with the instrumental power. I mean, that is one serious sledgehammer of a guitar, and the rhythms are awesome! Vocals are done well, just not for me.
THaLL.
Sigh... Unfortunately I too maintain this band shines most when instrumental. The material beneath the vocals here though....like damn...
anyone else hoping they release an instrumental version as well?
You´re absolutely right, bro!
Man, vocals are really disappointing.
Sick shit otherwise.
I do hate the new vox....its like some death metal sh*t...really. Old singer was much better....clean vocals was nice there.
Nevertheless the music is great....
The only thing I didn't like it was the change on the vocals of Eternal Golden Monk.
Snippets on YouTube.
This is going to be fucking immense.
Any complaints about the vocals?...guess not
thall
NOT LISTENING TO IT! This album needs to blast at me in full glory
51 minutes 25 seconds. not too shabby
I dont know what to say...

this sounds incredible.
so far sounds pretty fucking amazing. I saw them live @ oslo and the "new" singer is great. real nice lows.
