Calm

Calm. Its a state of mind.

The word conjures up images of blue skies, quiet contemplation and inner peace. Not exactly apt words to describe Swedish insano-metal crew Calm, which consists of six madmen and an elephant. Makes you wonder whats really in a name?

Since their inception in 1997, Calm have been tearing it up with their own brand of psych ward metal, and have garnered a large following in the process. They have shared a stage with Swedish hardcore giants like Refused and Nine, and have appeared on compilations alongside Isis and Turmoil.

In 2006, Calm are recording their second full-length. Strengthened by the arrival of new guitarist Johan Magnusson, formerly of Carnal Forge and Construcdead, they have moved further along the path started on their 2003 debut.
