With only a few days before their high-school graduation, Mario Camarena, Erick Hansel, Michael Wolfe and Drew Pelisek are doomed to flunk out of school. Their teacher decides to give them a chance. If they can ace an exam on the topic of how a famous historical personality might react to modern times, they will be allowed to pass. If not, their parents will place them in military school, thereby disbanding CHON, the band that they formed. The dudes get help from an unexpected source: Rufus, an Emissary from the Future. It seems that in Rufus' time, CHON's music is the basis of all existence, and if CHON is disbanded, the future world will no longer exist.
