Convalesce

Convalesce (previously known as A Promise Never Broken) is a Hardcore/Metal band from Puerto Rico, but now reside in Jacksonville FL. The band started on the month of may in 2007. They quickly won over the scene with their
California derived metalcore sound, a sound similar to As I Lay Dying, Destroy The Runner Ect... Before a year they went into the studio and recorded a 6 Track EP called "For Ever You Remain", and It can be found all over the internet.
Their fan base grew all over the states and quickly became one of the most known straight edge "metalcore" bands. In February of 2009 the decided to take a big step and steped closer to following their dreams as full time musicians,
they decided to move to Jacksonville FL, hoping for a better chance to make it. With a new start a new name came forward, the band took a spiritual turn and this time they decided to make music of hope and love, stating on their lyrics a powerful message of salvation. They started out sleeping in a van for a few weeks playing shows most weekends across FL. They became well known in the hardcore scene very quickly and soon after that they went into the studio and recorded their second EP called "Decisions" witch can also be found all over the internet. They were soon picked up by Chango Management, "Woe Is Me, For All I Am".. After six months they parted ways and joined a new management company with the co-owner of Chango's Don Henson, the band re-recorded a single song called "Shelter" with producer Matt Whentworth from "Our Last Night" they soon released a music video directed by Sam Link. The band has shared the stage with many national acts and has played all over the southeast coast. They will be in the studio in December with producer Brian Hood, "A Plea For Purging,
The Crimson Armada, Gideon" recording a 5 song EP that will be called "Consequences", their music and lyrics has evolved with a much more mature and original sound. The band is excepting a very good and busy year ahead of them.
