Grouler is a relatively young band, from Chile born of several members
and previous bands.

Pablo Hidalgo - Guitarist, clean vocals, teacher and composer - begins
to work on new tracks in the wave of European modern metal.

It was so with Fernando Correa (bass) and Francisco Navarrete (voice-screams) started to work on some more modern djent metal cutting edge songs. In the seach for the full line up Lucas Lucas Ripa(drums) was contacted and is at his home where it began testing, composing and rehearsing in August of 2009.

Later and thanks to have a rehearsal place, and good assembly with themes, we came to the idea of a metal band that mix the ancestral ancetral sound of the lyrics and small musical elements blended with djent, progressive and environment, only with the sole purpose of making good music.

After that we realized the missing weight and content, we had good
music and harmony, but our music was devoid of identity, so it would another band again European or North American style band. Nothing new. So we started
research the Selknam, ancient and magical people who habited southern of Chile,
to investigate, we realized the profound wisdom of myth through and
oral tradition of the magic that surrounds the end of the world and sacred legends, which did seem deeply inspiring.

All this elements were very well received by local public and the musicians in the area, in the gigs.

The band is more and more precise in execution and the last member appears, Claudio Ramirez (Guitars) who gives full band sound with good ideas and needed addition, to the full line up. He’s also the Ep producer and soundman Claudio gives and now works in this music that excites more day by day.
