HeavyArms

Formed in early 2010, under the name "Rivals", HeavyArms began as an experimental project to produce fast, heavy, raw music full of emotion, dynamics, and off-time signatures. 2010 saw the debut of HeavyArms' first EP entitled "Colonies" recorded at Second Story Studio with Matt Amelung. A 5-track barrage of raw angst, frustration, loss, and self-realization, it showed promising signs of a progressive metal band stuck in the midwest amidst hardcore and beatdown bands. With the release of 2 new songs in the beginning of 2011, HeavyArms have found their sound and plans of a winter release for their first full-length have already started causing a buzz in the midwest and east coast. No official date has been set but the band promises an early 2012 release followed by an extensive east coast and south tour in support of the yet unnamed album.
