Sacrifice to Survive

Female-fronted progressive rock/metal quintet from Jacksonville, FL. Their style ranges from darker, heavy music, to catchy pop-punk with uplifting choruses, to ambient clean sections and plenty of musical intricacies to keep musicians hooked, all with melodic up-front female vocals.

Formed in late 2009, the band (at that time consisting of drummer Patrick Garren, vocalist Givaren, and guitarist Matt) began to write and perform based off of some recordings of Matt's. They released a free 4 song EP in early 2010 and spent the remainder of the year writing and playing shows around north Florida. After a few line-up changes, the band settled in to record and release their second EP in 2011. While recording the first few tracks, they decided to expand upon the EP and record their first full length album due to the noticeably better production difference from their first release.
