Starting out as a simple bedroom studio project, guitarist Keshav Dhar has seen SKYHARBOR quickly evolve into one of India’s hottest metal prospects, with huge admiration coming in from some of the biggest names in metal worldwide.
An astonishing amount of buzz also surrounded the band's first ever performance at the Bacardi NH7 Festival in Pune, India earlier this month, where they played to over 1,000 people and were one of the weekend’s highlights.
SKYHARBOR released their debut album 'Blinding White Noise : Illusion & Chaos' on April 23rd, 2012 worldwide via Basick Records to glowing praise from fans and press alike. The band followed up the launch with an epic live performance in support of LAMB OF GOD on their 2012 world tour, where they were joined by vocalist Dan Tompkins and played to nearly 10,000 people.
SKYHARBOR made their debut European appearance with an exclusive show at EUROBLAST Festival in Germany alongside AFTER THE BURIAL, SCAR SYMMETRY, TESSERACT and many more renowned modern progressive bands. The band capped off a highly successful year with two headlining performances in India in December, before taking time off to focus on their second album.

WORD ON THE STREET:
“I think you do some amazing work. Would love to hear more – it’s awesome.” – Marty Friedman (ex Megadeth)
"Right now, I am very much into a band called SKYHARBOR from India" - Chris Adler (Lamb of God)
“Our friend Keshav Dhar from India is creating some cool stuff with his band SKYHARBOR” – Bart Hennephof (Textures)
“Keshav’s riffs scare the crap out of me” – Vishal J. Singh (Amogh Symphony)
"SKYHARBOR might be a band dubbed with the Djent genre moniker but they are so much more than the sum of their sound!! This is an album whose beauty is without question and the song writing is masterful…check them out!!" - Rock n Reel Reviews
"What you get is a genre-breaking album that is crushing and brutal, melodic and ethereal, technical, transient and monumental. This is the record that will not just redefine the sound of Indian metal, but heavy music everywhere." - Sputnik Music
"Prog-metal fan or not, the ambience and warmth from one end and relentless surge of adrenaline from the other converge perfectly and will make you hear this album now and 20 years later with the same zeal – timeless in every sense." - Metal My Religion
"With intertwined rough and smooth layering pouring like colors out of 'Maeva', it’s a composition that, whilst forming just one more mountain top in a rolling range of peaks, is a piece of music that seems to transcend faceless labels." - The New Review
"Blinding White Noise is a phenomenal album full of different styles, textures and sounds. It’s a shining light to how creative and forward thinking the Indian metal scene promises to be. There is something for almost every metal fan here, whether you like it melodic or bat-shit crazy, your whims are catered to here." - MWD Reviews
"SKYHARBOR seems to have plugged into a vast pool of untapped genre-bending amalgamation (read: an envious list of collaborations). There’s no stopping this juggernaut now. There are several layers to the Skyharbor-sphere that takes several listens to peel off and comprehend fully." - Indian Music Revolution
“Orchestrated swirling genius with a thumping heartbeat” – from the Harmony Central Online Community

I fell for this band so badly!

Keep the work with Dan, please. He is a perfect match for your music.
If you're in the US, buying from Prosthetic makes the most sense.

Go to, Basickrecords.com or for download, bandcamp. Advise: Basick's mailorder is a bit...slow. If you live in the US.
how do you buy this album?
your guys rock'
Association with TesseracT, good stuff
when Basick decide the time is right (not too far away)
when is the album coming out?
Totally agree man. I didn't know that Daniel had left TesseracT until I went to see them with BTBAM and AAL. TesseracT came on, and as soon as I heard the vox, I knew something wasn't right. I don't doubt that Elliot can be a good vocalist, but in my opinion Daniel was an important part of the unique arrangement of One. I'm definitely sad to see him go, but I'm about to check out this Skyharbor and see how it is!
Daniel Tompkins really just hitting the mark on this. He's a great singer. he needs to start his own group. Totally feeling his vocals.. to bad Tesseract gave him up. Elliot Coleman isn't doing it for me.

New name for Hydrodjent eh? Confusing, where can I get that new stuff?
From SoundCloud: "A long awaited debut album has been finally announced for a June 2011 launch"
Wheeeere? Where is the album??? I want.
Keshav Bhai... U DA MANN .. \m/
everyone should check out Bhayanak Maut too, pretty djenty also
Still phenomenal guitar as usual; 2nd only to Periphery in djentleness. The singer isn't the perfect fit, but he's pretty good.
Really awesome stuff, i've been a long time looking for new "heart-touching" music and now i got yours! Keep doing this, it's simply magic!
