Swim In Styx is a technical Post-Thrash band from France (Bordeaux, Aquitaine) formed in 2003 and signed to Symbol Musik. Their music is somewhat in the vein of Meshuggah. They have released a full-length album entitled Zero Kelvin in 2007.

SWIM IN STYX was created in 2003, Cyril playing the guitare, Renaud singing, Toff playing the drums and Kryss being the bassist.
Playing a brutal and agressive power metal, largely influenced by the best band of this kind of music (Pantera, Slipknot etc...) SWIM in STYX released the EP "v.01" in 2004.
The band then scours his songs [I don't think this is correct... even in French. They meant that they play all their songs on stage] in many places in Bordeaux and away when possible. They played concert of national extent [I don't know how to translate this well] such as in Havana Café in Toulouse or Elysée Montmartre, more particularly in the finale of the International rock competition "Emergenza", finishing in 3rd place.
Based on the support of an audience more and more enthusiastic after each performance, the groupe evolved musicaly and professionally, needing to go further.
In 2005 SWIN IN STYX started creating his first self-produced album.
While composing this album, the band matures and finds his musical identity: a mix of brutal polyrhithmic riffs, melodic ambiances, cold and dark but [How to say powerful, effective, relevant in the same time ?] who worked till there.

The concept is now obvious: brutality, coldness, power and scenic energy. The album will be intitled "Zero Kevin", released 2 years later and distributed by SYMBOL Musik, part of Brennus Music.

Wanting to offer very visual and energic shows, original compositions with their own identity, SWIM IN STYX is perpetually evolving but stays truely metal, surprising and strong.
