Tetrafusion is a Louisiana-based progressive metal band established in 2006. The band’s mix of complex, technical metal blended with a highly-intellectual melodic structure offers an eclectic brand of progressive rock and metal pushing the edge of contemporary music today. Originally an instrumental band, the group released its debut record “Absolute Zero” in 2009 to critical acclaim, which quickly launched the band into the underground metal scene, sans vocals. The album received positive acknowledgment in Germany’s Rock Hard, Decibel, and Progression Magazines and was hailed as one of the “top albums of year” by Ultimate-Guitar.com. A year and a half later, the released their sophomore album “Altered State” in 2010 through Nightmare Records/Sony RED, which marks the band’s first time to incorporate vocals into their work, as they will continue to do in all future material. The album peaked at #13 on Amazon’s Bestsellers Chart under the ‘Hard Rock & Metal’ category. As of August 2011, Tetrafusion wrapped up the recording of their third studio album “Horizons EP” with renowned producer Jamie King (Between the Buried and Me, The Human Abstract, Last Chance to Reason). “Horizons EP” will be released on January 31, 2012 for FREE DOWNLOAD with physical copies also available through the band’s online store.
