Karnivool developed from a high school band formed in 1997 in Perth, Western Australia, which played parties using a set of covers of Nirvana and Carcass with some original songs mixed in as well. By 1998, lead singer Ian Kenny changed their set to entirely original songs, removed all early members and officially named the band Karnivool, derived from an anecdotal description that the original members were "a bunch of clowns" around Perth

The brainchild of ex-Interlock guitarist, programmer and producer, John Tyrell and renowned session drummer and producer, Maxx Davies, London (UK) based KHAIDIAN began it’s life in 2011. Joined by singer Leon Watkins (ex-My Last Victim) and Joseph Perumal (Mortad, ex-Almamorta), the band has been able to bring to life it’s vision. Uniquely played and downtuned guitars mixed with cutting edge electronica and polyrhythm groove, all of which underpins Leon’s emotive and powerful vocals.

We met up, jammed, became friends and lost a few members and started again.
We challenge each other but keep things fun.
The combination of our efforts results in fusions of our favourite sub-genres.

We keep it heavy, modern, and mystical - contributing a contemporary sound of progressive metal among the deep sea of djent. While not looking like a metal band!

Fred Spooner (Fred.spooner@gmail.com) from local prog rockers As Gods, produced our debut single which we released on the 20th of January, 2013.
We're currently recording the rest of the EP with him for May 2013 release.

Iorace was born in summer 2009 when Konsta and Janne started to play and compose music together. Very soon they had four songs completed and Sami was taken behind the mic. Maybe Iorace will do some recordings in a year 2011.
