Basick Records: free 2012 sampler


Basick Records have uploaded a sampler for 2012 containing 11 tracks by various of their signed bands. The sampler is available for free streaming and download from Amazon and their Bandcamp page. Listen to it below. It also contains the new Chimp Spanner song 'Dark Age of Technology' that was reported earlier.

The Algorithm and Skyharbor sign to Basick Records (updated)


Basick Records reports that French solo artist Remi Gallego, AKA The Algorithm, and India-based band Skyharbor have signed to the label.

The Algorithm is gearing up to release a new single titled 'Tr0jans', which will include new versions of 'Isometry' and 'Antikythera Mechanism' as well as a new song, in early 2012. Skyharbor will release their debut album 'Blinding White Noise: Illusion & Chaos' around the same time. The album was announced to be delayed earlier, but no reason was given at that point. It will feature guest appearances by Daniel Tompkins (ex-TesseracT), Marty Friedman (ex-Megadeth), Vishal J. Singh (Amogh Symphony) and Sunneith Revankar(Bhayanak Maut).

UPDATE: The Algorithm has also released a new version of the track 'Isometry', which is available for streaming and for free download from his SoundCloud page. Listen below.

Aliases, Visions: UK tour announced


Basick Records has announced that Aliases and Visions will be touring together through the UK in late September/early October. View the tour poster below. The 'Safer Than Home' tour dates are as follows:

  • 28/9 - The Hydrant - Brighton
  • 29/9 - Corporation - Sheffield
  • 30/9 - Crauford Arms - Milton Keynes
  • 1/10 - Lock 42 - Leicester
  • 2/10 - Central Station - Wrexham

Uneven Structure sign to Basick Records, video update


Basick Records report that they have signed Uneven Structure. 'Februus', the band's debut full-length album which they have been working on for a while now, will be released before the end of this year.

Guitarist Igor 'Eggeh' Omodei comments: "We are so glad to be working with Basick, a label that completely understands and allows us the creative freedom we are looking for. We've endured a lot of hard work and effort in order to create 'Februus' and it's a great pleasure to know that we can count on Barley's team to push things forward and nail its release in perfect conditions. THALL."

A video update accompanying the signing announcement has been uploaded to Basick Records' YouTube channel. Watch it below. It features some footage from the band's second ever live performance in Bern, Switzerland on April 30th. Uneven Structure's debut EP '8' was released in December 2009 and is available for free download.

7 Horns 7 Eyes sign to Basick Records


Basick Records reports that it has signed Seattle-based band 7 Horns 7 Eyes, as part of a joint partnership and subsequent licensing deal with Century Media. It has also announced that the band's debut full-length album, titled 'Throes of Absolution' will be released in Autumn 2011.

Basick Records: free 10-track sampler available


Basick Records has released a free sampler featuring 10 tracks by artists in their roster, including the recently (re-)signed Circles and The Arusha Accord. The sampler can be downloaded by posting it on Twitter or Facebook. Basick Records has teamed up with Century Media Records for distribution in North America.

Aliases sign to Basick Records


Aliases, the Manchester band by ex-SikTh guitarist Graham 'Pin' Pinney, have signed to Basick Records, a label that other artists such as Chimp Spanner, Monuments, Fellsilent and No Made Sense have also signed to in the past. Aliases played at this year's Euroblast Festival, which Basick Records founder Nathan 'Barley' Phillips was also attending.

Basick Records 5th Birthday Show Review and Pictures Released


A review of the Basick Records 5th Birthday show has been uploaded. The review reveals each bands performance, which includes Monuments, TesseracT (without vocalist Dan Tompkins), Chimp Spanner, and Between the Screams.
