Sinthetik enter studio, debut EP tracklist unveiled


Sinthetik report that they will enter the studio today to start tracking drums for their debut release. The EP, as yet untitled, will consist of 4 tracks and will be available for a free digital download. The track listing is as follows:

1. The Summit
2. Clairvoyance
3. Ignorance
4. Amnesia

A teaser track for it was posted earlier last year.

Outrun The Sunlight: new tracks available, EP details announced


Outrun The Sunlight have uploaded two new tracks, titled 'Quark I: Ultra-Violet Power Violence' and 'Quark II: Ten Billion Years', on their SoundCloud, Facebook, and Youtube channel pages. Listen below. These two songs will be featured respectively as the 1st and 2nd track off the band's upcoming debut EP, titled 'Architecture Of The Cosmos', for which a release date is yet to be announced. The EP will be available for download on the band's Bandcamp page in a "pay what you want" scheme.

Friend For A Foe: 'Idle Hands' pre-production snippet


Friend For A Foe have posted a pre-production snipped for a new track, titled 'Idle Hands', on their SoundClick page. They write: "Just a little sample of one of our songs from up and coming 'Sky and the Fall' EP. NOT the final instrumental mix and the vocal mix is far from complete, but thought we should give you guys something since you've been so patient waiting for this EP!".

Corelia: studio update video


Corelia have uploaded to their Youtube page a 1-minute studio update video about the recording and tracking of their upcoming debut EP. Watch it below. They also announced in the video that the EP is planned for release in March 2011.

Lucrecia: new song 'Serenade'


Solo guitarist Blackula has released a new instrumental track titled 'Serenade' for his project Lucrecia. It is available on his Facebook and Reverbnation pages. He writes: "Lucrecia is a solo Djent/Math/Progressive/Metal/whatever project based in Richmond, Indiana. I try not to limit myself based on genres or any kind of boundaries. I'm currently writing and recording an EP that will hopefully be out in spring. After said EP is dropped, I will be playing numerous shows, being a modern Djentleman, and dancing quite a bit."

The Omega Experiment: debut EP available for free download (updated)


The Omega Experiment have just released their debut EP, titled 'Karma'. The 3-track EP is available for free download on their Bandcamp page.

Friend For A Foe: EP release delayed, guest musicians announced


Friend For A Foe have officially announced on their Facebook page that their upcoming EP, originally scheduled for release this month, has been postponed to February. It will contain 9 tracks (instead of the 6 originally planned), with a song featuring guest vocals from Greg Pope of Monuments and a guest solo from Travis Montgomery (Threat Signal, Nociceptor).

Friend For A Foe: interview with Chris Purvis


Broken Sticks has published an interview with guitarist Chris Purvis of Friend For A Foe, in which he discusses his musical history, how the band started, and future plans for 2011. It is also stated that the band's upcoming six-track EP has been postponed to February, and that they will probably also release a full-length album this year.
