Massive Audio Nerve: new lineup announced, working on new album


Massive Audio Nerve have announced that guitarist Mark Black and drummer Adde Larsson have joined the band. They will replace Nils Olsson and Andreas Engberg, respectively. A previous lineup change was announced earlier this year. The band will enter the studio to record their fourth album 'Cancer Vulgaris' in February 2012. Ten of the twelve song titles are listed here.

Formerly known as 'M.A.N,' Massive Audio Nerve announced the name change via their Twitter page in November.

Vildhjarta: 'Dagger' drum cam video


Sick Drummer Magazine has posted a drumcam video of Vildhjarta's David Lindkvist playing the song 'Dagger', off their recently released debut album 'Måsstaden'. Watch it below. He comments: "My biggest influences are by far Sean Reinert and Tomas Haake, but on måsstaden, you will also hear a lot of drumming inspired by bands like Ion Dissonance. [...]". We conducted an exclusive interview with the band at Euroblast festival in Cologne, Germany in October this year.

Friend For A Foe: new drummer announced, bass mixing tutorial available


Friend For A Foe have announced Mike Lumer as the band's new drummer on their Facebook page. Moreover they have posted a bass mixing tutorial on Facebook.

Textures: 'Singularity' drum playthrough video


Sick Drummer Magazine has posted a Textures drum playthrough video featuring drummer Stef Broks playing along to the band's new song 'Singularity', off their forthcoming full-length album 'Dualism'. Watch it below. Two listening parties for the new album will be held on August 31st, in Mumbai, India and New York City, USA.

Textures will be touring through North America supporting Periphery as part of the Frak The Gods tour, alongside The Human Abstract, The Contortionist and Stray From The Path. They will also be co-headlining this year's edition of Euroblast festival, which will take place in Cologne, Germany on October 21st-22nd.

Om Mani call it quits


Om Mani have announced on their Facebook page that the band will no longer continue. Recently their drummer left the country. They feel it is impossible to find a decent replacement so they decided to call it quits. The official announcement (in French) can be read on their Facebook page.

Animals as Leaders, Veil of Maya: drumcam mix footage


Sick Drummer Magazine has uploaded two drumcam videos of drummers Navene Koperweis of Animals As Leaders and Sam Applebaum of Veil Of Maya performing some of the respective band's songs. Watch it below. They were recorded during the 2010 Summer Slaughter Tour. Some live footage videos from their show at the South by Southwest festival were posted earlier.

Stealing Axion: new drummer introduction video


The Tacoma, Washington-based band Stealing Axion have found a new drummer to complete their lineup. They have put up a video introducing Blake Ferris on their Youtube page. Watch it below. They had been looking for a drummer since November last year.

Friend For A Foe part ways with drummer


Drummer Jason Novalis of Friend For A Foe has announced on the band's Facebook page that he has decided to leave the band. He writes: "This was a tough, yet easy decision. I will not regret moving here to become part of this band, neither will I regret leaving. There have been great friendships spawned as a result of working with these wonderful musicians, as well as those that came with me being in a new location altogether[...]". A 4-minute teaser for their upcoming debut EP, titled 'The Sky And The Fall' was released earlier.
