KARTIKEYA is a Russian band from Moscow, founded by Arsafes, also composer and guitarist of famous Russian pagan metal band Nevid.
The style of Kartikeya (which is the name of the God of War in Hinduism) consists of oriental death metal with epic atmosphere, brutal riffs, blast-beats and fierce growls meshed with mantras, authentic instruments and Indian mythology.
In 2007 Musica Production has released the band's debut album "The Battle Begins" which met critical acclaim from various zines and founded a strong fan-base in Russia.
