Flood The Sun started early in 2009. I had the urge to start a band, to write music with people online, collaborating with musicians from the bands i listened to on my iPod as well as musicians, like myself, that were bedroom dwellers.

My journey has taken me to corresponding with bands from all over the world, sending emails to facebook pages, myspace profiles, youtube channels and twitter accounts. I cannot complain about a second of it. I have made so many friends and written some music I am really proud of.

Calm. Its a state of mind.

The word conjures up images of blue skies, quiet contemplation and inner peace. Not exactly apt words to describe Swedish insano-metal crew Calm, which consists of six madmen and an elephant. Makes you wonder whats really in a name?

Since their inception in 1997, Calm have been tearing it up with their own brand of psych ward metal, and have garnered a large following in the process. They have shared a stage with Swedish hardcore giants like Refused and Nine, and have appeared on compilations alongside Isis and Turmoil.
