I grew up in a small town in South West Ontario, where the music scene is somewhat lacking. Growing up, I took an interest in instruments, and ended up buying a bass. I taught myself how to play by jamming along with some classic rock tunes, and eventually taught myself to play drums and guitar as well. I have also taught myself how to mix and edit music.
St. Louis founded metal band, Lo and Behold, is an up and coming group that combines heavy riffs with soulful vocals. Incorporating influences from contemporaries such as Emarosa, Issues, Veil of Maya, Volumes, Whitechapel, and The Afterimage, they have enjoyed success around the St. Louis area for about a year. Two months ago their debut single, "Variables" was released with the help of producer CJ Cochran of Outline in Color. Work on the premier EP of the band is near completion and the recording process will likely begin soon.
Mark Wylie is an independent composer creating music with guitars and computers. Combining his background in music education and a passion for musical divergency, Mark explores the sonic medium through rhythmic manipulations, melodic magnetism and harmonic gravitation.
The first solo release, Aquarius EP, is meant to take the listener on a vibrational voyage through the heart and mind of the composer. From beginning to end, the music's storyline weaves a tale of sensory discovery, spatial experimentation and mythological sonification.
The group was founded in winter 2014. Prior to that future members played in various projects, but were not satisfied with their material, which had been badly out of date due to the global trends of extreme genre. The musicians met through the studio owner, in which all rehearsed at the time. It was decided to create a group that will be able to break out of the musical traditions of the conservative small town in the south-west of the country.
