Centuries Apart have announced on their Twitter page that they have disbanded. Vocalist Kyle Anderson states: [i]"Things will never be as they were in 2010. That being said, it's time for us to move on. It's time for a fresh start for everyone. I loved playing in Centuries Apart but it's no longer what we all wish to pursue. Make sure you check out Atlas, a group formed by original bassist Zach and guitarist Mitch.
Om Mani have announced on their Facebook page that the band will no longer continue. Recently their drummer left the country. They feel it is impossible to find a decent replacement so they decided to call it quits. The official announcement (in French) can be read on their Facebook page.
Sons Of Belial have announced on their Facebook page that they have decided to break up the band. They write: "[...] We have decided to call it quits and break up the band. It's not something any of us wanted but we felt that the band had slowed to a halt in terms of writing/recording, and after many setbacks this became our only realistic option. [...]" They have also made clear their intent to stay active in the music scene.
M.A.N. have announced on their Myspace page that guitar player Rob Guz has decided to leave the band and the music business. Rob is renowned for his use of unusual instruments like 11-string basses and guitars with 48 frets, which form the centerpiece of M.A.N.'s sound. The band have also recruited a new guitar player by the name of Marcus "Skägget" Bertilsson (Inevitable End, Miseration, The Weakening). A promo picture of the new lineup can be viewed below.
Oxford-based Excessum have posted a bulletin on their Myspace page in which they announce that the band has split up. They went through a few lineup changes earlier this year. The announcement reads: "After subsided fallouts, loss of devotion and the guys moving away to uni [...], it's decided that the guys have called it a day. [...] it's been an awesome time full of experience, thanks to the other guys and promoters to make it all possible. Good luck to the others who venture in other musical/professional endeavours."
Fellsilent report that they are breaking up, citing the fact that the members have all moved on to new projects as the reason. Browne and Neema will be continuing with Monuments, who have a big announcement planned for today. Acle will be focussing on TesseracT, which is no surprise considering that the band are hoping to release their long-awaited debut album this year. Joe and Noddy have a lyrical project called Sonick Movement. Noddy will continue to play session drums for various bands and give lessons.
Brad Tuttle, vocalist and songwriter of Seven, has announced that they are breaking up. Reasons cited are 'constant internal issues and member changes'. He also indicates that he will still be writing and recording music, although not as frequently because he has to focus on his job.
