Wonder if there is any way that Basik and some other great companies would want to hold one here in the States ? I would sure put my effort into making it happen....ny, nj area people....do you here me ? Let's talk !

Euroblast is backed by a hard-working team, with two enthusiastic and competent people (John Sprich and Daniel Schneider) at the helm. I think you're going to need a similar setup to pull this off across the Atlantic. You need these three things really: manpower, enthusiasm and competence. If something like this were to get off the ground we'd definitely be up for the same kind of cooperation that we have going with Euroblast festival. But some people who've got what it takes are going to have to step up first

A friend of mine and I are in the (very) early planning stages of doing something like this. Nothing worth mentioning at the moment though.

Ball-park figure needed cash wise! Venue + contact with bands(timing). 9 months to a whole year to get everything nailed down.
What am I missing?

It's very hard in this area with so many options out there for people. BUT !! Djent is not an option yet, sadly !
I have venues and backing, as far as bands, I could pull about 3 from the tri=state area, and that includes Ever Forthright. Djent scene here is almost 100% imports, so advertising is a major hurdle. I really want to attack it with a "build it they will come" attitude........but..............thousands for a major venue plus staff and insurance......Bands would almost have to talk the labels into supporting it for it to work. Imagine that, a label that listened to bands and fans ! There is a seed planted with prosthetic, I also remember the choices prosthetic once made. (not good) IM TRYING, I PROMISE ! Metalhead Productions shall rise again !

Basick operates out of the UK, so I doubt they could be much help. I'm in the New York area, the only band I'm aware of around here, that has a name, is Ever Forthright. There's a thread around here about this same topic. Trying to get a North American Djent/progressive blast thing going!
