Enditol (RIYL Divinity, Into Eternity, Nevermore, Biomechanical, Painted In Exile, Dream Theater, ...)

Check this shit out. It's a sideproject by guitarist Sacha Laskow from Divinity (which some of you may know). I wouldn't call it djent, although I suppose there's some bits here and there that could qualify. I put tons of band names in the topic title as you can see
I was reminded of all of these while listening to the album he recently put out.
My favourite track, 'Ayin', starts off like it could be on an Into Eternity album (an older one, you know, before they started to kinda suck
), then slowly evolves to sound a lot like Nevermore. Near the end there's some almost powermetal-esque keyboards and the last riff is pretty djenty.
The entire album is pretty much incredible. The vocals are excellent, imo. Of course there is a strong similarity to Divinity's music throughout, which shouldn't come as a surprise. It's a lot more proggy and experimental though. Maybe not as stylistically diverse as say, Painted In Exile, but just like with their music, everything seems to fit.
One minor flaw that might bother some people is that the drums are sometimes 'unrealistic'. But who cares about that, apart from drummers
It's up for streaming on Myspace: http://www.myspace.com/enditol
You can buy the MP3s ('pay what you want'!) or a hard copy ($15 CAD including worldwide shipping) from http://enditol.net/

No idea, maybe shoot him an email about it. I got the hard copy version

Ah never mind, already got the link ^_^
I was short on cash so I just bought the digital copy. Just listening now...amazing stuff.
Thanks again for the recommendation.

Shiets awesome. I think i'll get the hard copy next month or something.
You forgot Blotted Science from that list btw

Music is pretty damn cool. Not a fan of the vocals personally though I'm afraid
A tad too weird for my liking i guess.

My brother Jerrod is the vocalist bros! I'm so fwakking jacked that people on the interwebs are listening to his and Sacha's project.
Sacha has started writing for the second album and my bros vocal chords are ready. Just saw Divinity open for Into Eternity last week in Calgary. It was off the hook!
