Instrumental djent.
Hello all. I just discovered djent the other day and for the most part, I'm extremely pleased. I do have one small problem, though. I tend to hate the vocalists in these bands. Not when the growl or scream, but when they try to sing. I'm not a singing-in-metal hater. Opeth happens to be my favorite band in the world, and Mikael Akerfeldt's voice is absolutely perfect for the music they create. I can't say the same for the vast majority of the bands I'm listening to that fall under the djent category. I can't tell you how many times I've been so happy with a song and then about one minute in, the vocalist starts belting out some corny, 'uplifting' style of singing that doesn't fit in with the music at all.
So what I'm looking for are djent bands or artists that are purely instrumental, have no clean vocals, or at the very least have some haunting style of singing that would fit in with the music a little better for me. I've discovered some great ones on my own...Cloudkicker, Animals as Leaders, Keith Merrow, Andy Hauck, Vortice. I'm still searching on my own but I'd greatly appreciate some suggestions!

I wouldn't call it a genre, but it's definitely a category of music (although as with all such categories, the boundaries are a bit vague).
Definitely check out gru - Cosmogenesis, it just came out and it's fucking awesome. Also check out Jakub Zytecki's tracks.
Oh sorry. I got confused because there's an entire grouping of bands that have something in common going by the name of 'djent'. :/
Thanks benanne. I'll check them out.

Of course, and to each his own. I don't want to spark a debate or anything but when I think of "djent" I look at it as a type of element within any given song that directly correlates with syncopated groove. A phrase I often say to myself when listening to music is: "SHIT that part was djent-y as FUCK." instead of: "SHIT that part was groovy as FUCK." I don't know, I'm just tired of people going as far as dubbing "Djent" as a genre now and its to the point where on a couple other forums/blogs, everyone is mistaken "Djent" as a reincarnation of "deathcore" and are dubbing all these new "deathcore" bands as "Djent bands". It's annoying in my opinion and the word shouldn't veer too far away from its definition. I'm not trying to lash out at you kwaynn but it was time for me to say something about it because it has been bugging me as of late haha.
Anyways, check out ProducKt. Great musicians and really catchy songs.
