I was watching a Fortiori tutorial vid (@johnnyshnizz) because they are very helpful and i love them. maybe even hel be the one answering this question

i use a macbook pro and reaper as my daw

i use my ux2 as the input sound card and the built in or default for sound output (which i just started doing today after thinking i was going to try the asio 4 all way and use my monitors so i can hear the eqs comps so on with a bypassed pod farm tone.)

but i can't find where to change my latency its coming out too late and i am once again kind of frustrated (although I'm slowly learning patience is a virtue when it comes to these things)

I am not familiar with MacOS in this respect - but you should have a control panel style applet for the ASIO Line6 settings. For example, on my Windows system, it's named "Line6 Audio MIDI Devices" or something of the sort.

With most DAW's you should also be able to modify the device settings within the DAW itself, and configure the device itself. I do not think ASIO will have any effect on this, to my knowledge ASIO is a windows platform specific driver method - we're looking at "Core Audio" for Mac systems (somebody please correct me if i'm wrong)

So basically, you are looking for CoreAudio settings for your UX2, either within the system properties of your MacOS, or within Reaper itself - I would suggest looking at how to configure CoreAudio devices within Reaper dude. Having a brief look into their support forums at Cockos was a little much for me at the moment, but try there also. I would also suggest the user manual as an immediate go-to for initial setup for your UX1 device.

And then basically, it should be a matter of simply lowering the buffer settings for the device - this will change latency of the input signal, but at a cost of processing power - basically it should just effect Reaper with a small amount of pre-delay before streaming playback when you record. No big deal.

Also, remember that line6 driver updates have a HUGE bearing on the device's operation itself (well, it does with my Toneport UX1).

cheers mate!

first you gotta find the audio device options in reaper in which you can change the audio driver to the asio4all one. when you choose that there usually is also a button to open the asio controller in which you´ll find the slide to adjust the buffer size and therefor also the latency.

i don't think it works that way in reaper for some reason, and i don't think their is an asio4all for mac

ah, sorry about that. you could also try to use the UX2 drivers. might have a tad more latency but still manageable.
