I'm new hear and all...at least as a registered member, and wanted to say that this site is the greatest ever. Damn, I grew up on Metallica, Slayer, Exodus, and the like in the mid-80, eventually was a bit grungy, then into alt-rock, over to post-hardcore (which I still listen to quite a bit...at least the good bands), and now can't get enough of djent. I'm a bit of a thinker at times have to say that djent definitely keeps my attention in a way not too much other music can...though I am a fan of neo-classical and electronic as well sometimes you just want to freakin rock out with a scowl on your face. Thanks!

Welcome, Michael! We're probably around the same age. I grew up on 80's metal, could not stand grunge! Perhaps, my vanity and conceit, predisposed me to that 80's era? Nonetheless, djent, is head & shoulders above the present day metal world! I'm with ya! Laters
