Just wondering what people's thoughts are on the new version of Passenger. I think everybody has probably heard the Haunted Shores version and seeing as not much has changed what are your thoughts on the production? Personally i'm really liking the sound of it especially the snare drum.

Well here in the UK they released a "Special Edition" which has Passenger as a bonus track.

I've never really cared for Haunted Shores tbh. The melodic metalcore sound I just personally find very boring and as great a guitarist as Holcomb is, I feared this would be the direction Periphery went. Since then every studio demo has sounded a little too metalcore for my liking (not to mention the geeky daftness has got to annoying proportions!) and then the Passenger cover is released. I don't think I'm going to like the next Periphery record Sad. The best part of Passenger is the heavy outro.

@Miroist just wait till the album is released, you cant judge it from these tiny videos and passenger isnt even going to be in there (awesome song though!)

I like Haunted Shores a lot more than I do Periphery, I kinda with that they'd do something with Immaterial and keep Elliot's vocals somehow, haha

i wish he'd figure out a decent snare tone, i wasn't a huge fan of the snares sounds he used on the debut and the Stray from the Path album either

though this is a live drum sound on this track, correct?
