Besides what Sage.Judd tells you,
I think you should also improve the mix,
because the bass stuffs everything else
and make it sound unclear.

Thank you for taking the time to post constructive feedback! Yeah I struggle with bass in my mix, especially if I listen to it on cheap speakers/earbuds it always seems a bit weak. Now that you mentioned it, some of the quality and clarity of the piano chords in the busy parts really get kinda lost in the mix. Will work on that!

Yeah, the bass has some mids that interfere with clarity a bit. It's nice to have that grind, but I have found that it's better felt than heard, you know what I mean? Also, try messing with the velocity and articulations for the piano at the end to make it more dynamic. The rhythm and harmonic content is fine, but it just sounds midi-ish, or tracked on a keyboard without weighted keys or something. That's pretty much it for me. Also, thanks for the compliment, man.

Ah yes I know exactly what you mean with the bass and also with the dynamics. Well spotted! Will work on that asap after working on my discipline and finally finishing the writing for a full length track :P

Hey this is great! I'd like to add on to what Sade.Judd said with some advice for the drums! Look into different compression techniques, especially parallel compression, to make your drums punchier and more present in the mix, that way you can even hear them better without them overpowering the mix! Again, nice snippet, i like the composition!
