The djent and progressive metal community is supported by a plethora of news sites, blogs and Facebook pages. With them we share the common goals of giving the artists a way to get their music out there, and helping fans find the new music they crave.

In a way we are all competitors, but most of all, we complement each other. And rather than work against each other, we at firmly believe that we should be working together to further our common goals. has been reposting and linking back to content from other sites and pages since the very beginning, but we'd like to take this one step further. That's why we've decided to start up the linkback program.

What is it?

The concept is simple: if you link to a piece of content from on your page or site, that piece of content will automatically feature a link back to you. For every link to us on your page, there will be a link to your page on Check out this post or this one to see what it looks like. A link to your page will be shown under the 'Featured on:' header at the bottom of the page. This is mainly intended for links to news articles, but it works for band pages, release pages and reviews as well. Previously, this option was only available to partners, but we've decided to waive this restriction.

This is what it looks like when we link back to your page.

How does it work?

This system is completely automated. will periodically check your page or site for new links, and then create a link back to you. To do this, it downloads your RSS feed at regular intervals (typically every hour). Most blogs have RSS feeds nowadays, and Facebook pages do, too.

How can I join the program with my site / blog / page?

All sites and Facebook pages are eligible, as long as there is an RSS feed to download. If you'd like to join the program, you can contact us by filling out the form below. Please note that applications are handled on a case by case basis. We will not just link back to anyone! You will only be able to join the linkback program after we've verified that we share the common goals mentioned earlier, and you're not up to any shady business. You'll also need to send us a 50x50 icon image for your website.

What are the requirements?

  • Band pages, or other pages that only post news about a single band, are not eligible.

  • You may not abuse the program, i.e. linking to the same thing 10 times is not a good idea. Linking everything we post isn't good either: it's a bit redundant, and your users won't appreciate it. Moderation is key!

  • If we establish that you have been abusing the program, if you haven't posted any links to us, or if we no longer consider your site or page suitable to participate for whatever reason, we reserve the right to remove it from the program.
