Mnemic: trailer video for upcoming album available


Mnemic have uploaded a trailer video for their upcoming album Sons of the System, to be released on January 15th in Europe and on January 26th in North America, by Nuclear Blast records. Watch it below.

Mnemic are scheduled to perform at the Danish Metal Awards alongside Meshuggah on January 16th. In February, they will be touring Denmark in support of their new album.

Xerath: interview with vocalist available, plans for new album

1 has published an interview with Xerath's vocalist, Richard Thomson. In it, he talks about how they got together, the recording of their debut album, and its reception. He also mentions that they plan to have a second album ready by summer 2010.

Xerath released their debut album, I, on Candlelight records in May this year. They toured the UK in support of it last month.

Vira: second nomination at Danish Metal Awards


Vira have been nominated for the "Metal Audience Award", nicknamed "The Jack", at the Danish Metal Awards ( As we reported earlier, they had already been nominated for the "Metal Talent Of The Year" award.

The award is given to the band that receives the most votes in an online poll. The band have already requested their fans to vote for them on their Myspace page.

Carthage: new version of 'Waking The Giants' available


Tre of Carthage has redone the mix of their song 'Waking The Giants'. Listen to it on Soundclick. A couple of older versions of the song, and some other material, are also available on his SoundClick page.

Cyclamen: pictures from Fortress Studio session available


Hayato Imanishi of Cyclamen has uploaded a couple of pictures from the recording session at Fortress Studio in London, with Dan Weller and Justin Hill (Wellerhill Productions, both are former members of SikTh). Some comments about the equipment used are included as well.

Uneven Structure to release free EP - video available


Uneven Structure have announced that they will soon be releasing a freely downloadable EP, containing a single 25-minute track. The EP is being released in anticipation of their first full-length, Februus, to be released in March or April 2010.

"As Februus is taking some extra time to be done, we managed to work you out a free EP that is coming out really really soon! 25mn of uncut grooviness for free!"

Vildhjarta in Germany: video available


Vildhjarta have uploaded a video of their weekend Germany. They played in Leipzig and Bonn with In-Quest, on November 20th and 21st respectively. We posted a fan-filmed video of this event (from Kerim "Khrim" Leichner, drummer for Decapitated) about 2 weeks ago.

The video includes footage of the trip and of the gigs themselves. Watch it below.

Tom Still (Invocation) has posted a clip of himself covering Fellsilent's "Erase Begin" Through his new Engl Invader 100.

The Ocean reveals album title


The first of the two new The Ocean albums to be released in 2010 will be called Heliocentric, Robin Staps announced via Facebook.
