Textures have been announced to headline UK Tech Metal Fest, which will take place on July 13th, 14th and 15th at The Lounge Bar in Alton, UK. The festival organisers have also made available a new festival poster with the lineup for each day. View it below.

A large portion of the got-djent.com team attended Euroblast festival in Cologne, Germany in October last year, and we used this opportunity to record a couple of video interviews. Our seventh and final interview in this series was with drummer Stef Broks and vocalist Daniel De Jongh of Dutch progressive metal heavyweights Textures. We talked about the festival, their latest album 'Dualism', touring, and shoes.

Textures will be touring France and Spain at the end of this month, check out their Facebook page for more information.

Due to technological problems, this interview incurred a significant delay. We apologise for this in advance. Although it was recorded a couple of months ago, we hope you'll still find it worth watching.

Yesterday, we announced positions 10 through 6 in the got-djent.com top 20 releases of 2011. Today, we're announcing who took the 5th place. We will announce one more album per day, until we reach number one. At that point we will also announce the top 10 of freely downloadable releases.

Heavy Blog Is Heavy has posted the third and fourth installments of their Q&A sessions with Textures.

Textures have released the second installment of their Q&A sessions with fans via Heavy Blog Is Heavy. This is being done throughout the Frak The Gods Tour with Periphery and The Contortionist in support of their latest album 'Dualism'. Topics include food on tour and musical influences and techniques.

Textures's fourth studio album, titled 'Dualism', which is due to be released on the 27th of September, is now available for streaming on Guitar World. The music video for the track, 'Reaching Home' from the album was posted earlier.

SkullsNBones has posted a video interview with Dutch band Textures in which they talk about the fans' reaction to the new vocalist, the American tour, and the interviewees' musical tastes, among other topics. Watch the video below. A Q&A session on Heavy Blog Is Heavy has recently started, where the band will answer the fans' questions.

Their upcoming album Dualism is scheduled for release on 23rd September in Europe, Australia, Japan and South America and 27th September in the United States and Canada.

Metal Injection have posted a video interview with Jochem Jacobs and Bart Hennephof of Textures, where they talk about the new Textures line-up, the soon to be released full-length, Dualism & the 'Frak The Gods Tour' with Periphery, which starts tomorrow.

Sick Drummer Magazine has posted a Textures drum playthrough video featuring drummer Stef Broks playing along to the band's new song 'Singularity', off their forthcoming full-length album 'Dualism'. Watch it below. Two listening parties for the new album will be held on August 31st, in Mumbai, India and New York City, USA.

Textures will be touring through North America supporting Periphery as part of the Frak The Gods tour, alongside The Human Abstract, The Contortionist and Stray From The Path. They will also be co-headlining this year's edition of Euroblast festival, which will take place in Cologne, Germany on October 21st-22nd.

Metal as Fuck have published an interview with Stef Broks, drummer of Textures. In it he talks about the band's new album 'Dualism', the forthcoming US tour, and more. A new track, titled 'Singularity', was posted earlier.

Textures have published the third in a series of video podcasts about the recording of their fourth studio album 'Dualism'. Watch it below. The previous studio update video was posted in May. 'Dualism' is due for release on September 23rd by Nuclear Blast records. The cover art, track listing and release date were revealed earlier this month.

Textures and The Ocean have announced dates for a co-headlining European tour in late November through early December with Aliases as the opening act for the UK shows. View them below. Textures and Aliases will also be performing at this year's Euroblast Festival.

Textures are currently recording their fourth full-length album which will be released this Fall. On Wednesday March 16th, drummer Stef Broks, guitarist Bart Hennephof and bassist Remko Tielemans will be joining got-djent.com in the official got-djent.com web chat for an exclusive talk about how the recording of the album is progressing, and to answer all your questions.

Textures guitarist Bart Hennephof recently did an interview with Indian metal site Demrockritic. The interview covers the band's interest in India, how they are dealing with the loss of two members, their writing process, musical interests and plans for their new album.

Textures have published the third in a series of guitar tutorial videos with guitar player Bart Hennephof. Watch it below. This video features the song 'Old Days Born Anew' from their most recent album 'Silhouettes'. Also view the first and second videos, featuring 'Stream of Consciousness' and 'Laments of an Icarus' respectively.

Textures report on their Myspace page that they have recruited Uri Dijk as their new keyboard player. He had already been playing with the band as a stand in at their festival performances this summer. About this, the band write: [i]"To see Richard leave shortly after the departure of Eric, was quite a blow for us. Richard was a part of the band from the beginning, so it would feel pretty weird to fit a new person in that role.

Some fan-filmed videos of Textures performing with their recently recruited new vocalist, Daniël De Jongh (ex-CiLiCe), have appeared on YouTube. Watch them below. The band played their first gig in a long time at FortaRock 2010 in Nijmegen, the Netherlands on Saturday, July 3rd.

Textures report that their keyboard player Richard Rietdijk has left the band. This news comes a few months after vocalist Eric Kalsbeek's departure. The band have recruited Daniël De Jongh (ex-CiLiCe) as their new vocalist in the meantime.

About his departure, Richard says: There are other projects (music and other) I’ve been wanting to do for a while now and currently the time and effort it takes to be in the band is in the way of me achieving those. I want to thank all you fans for your continued support and making this journey as awesome as it has been.

The band state: After 10 very great years, it is sadly finally so... our synths & samples-maestro is leaving. We will miss Richard a lot, especially his laugh and his awesome humour. [...] We know Richard will have a great time doing the other things he really loves, but meanwhile our tourbus is going to keep hitting the road... we are unstoppable!

Full statements from Richard and from the band are available on the band's website. They indicate that they are currently writing a new album, and will now start looking for a new keyboard player. They have also announced the first two shows with their new vocalist:

CiLiCe report that their vocalist Daniël de Jongh will be leaving the band to join Textures. Textures recently lost their vocalist after Eric Kalsbeek decided to leave the band to focus on his job and his family. Daniël has issued a personal message, of which a translation is available by clicking "Read more". He has decided to leave the band because he doesn't want them to be sidetracked. He will still be doing the planned shows in Europe with CiliCe.

The band also report that they have some new material for the follow-up to Deranged Headtrip, and that they will be doing an instrumental side project. A new track 'Mental Breakdance' will be available soon.

Textures have posted the 8th episode of their podcast to their YouTube channel, about their touring experiences in India. Textures co-headlined the Deccan Rock Festival at the Palace Ground in Bangalore, India on the 5th December 2009, with Amon Amarth. Watch it below.

Metal blog Nocleansinging.com has published an article titled "Math Metal Monday", in which a couple of technical metal releases of the past year are highlighted. The article discusses Silhouettes by Textures, The Sea of See Through Skins by Tardive Dyskinesia, Deranged Headtrip by CiLiCe and Lazarus by Hacride.

Textures are going to release a best of album titled Extracts 2004-2009, exclusively in India. Up until now, none of their albums were available in that country. It will be released by EMI Music on January 4th, 2010.

The album contains tracks from all three albums they have released so far. The track listing is as follows:
