got-djent.com's been around for over five years now, and the scene has grown immensely in that time - both in size and influence. A lot of new bands are drawing influence from some of the big names that started it all. Others are developing new styles, combining various genres with elements of djent.
In this new series titled Sphere of influence, we'll be showcasing artists with common influences and similar styles. For our first post, we'll look artists whose music is heavily influenced by Vildhjarta. If you dig their unique sound, have a listen!
Swedish photographer Glenn Lindberg has posted a 90 minute in-depth audio interview with guitarist Daniel Bergstrom of Vildhjarta, recorded at UK Tech Fest 2014 in July this year. He writes: "Me and Daniel talked about living in Africa, what a memory really is, how no one thought his riffs could be played live, Delsbo, about THALL, about their epic album måsstaden and what it's about, yeah we pretty much covered it all."
Vildhjarta and Hypno5e will play the got-djent.com-supported Festival De Chair Et D'acier in Mâcon, France on May 2nd. Other bands on the lineup include Psygnosis, Scarred, Arkona, Belenos, and more. View the flyer below. Day tickets for Friday, as well as 3-day festival tickets are available at the links below.
