Since the 5 piece's musical inception into the Peterborough (England), local scene way back in the days of late 2008, I have personally been keeping tabs on these guys, espescially seeing as I, myself, reside in the Peterborough area. It was frustrating being a fan of Visions to start with, as you fell in love with the music, and always hoped for more and more, but more releases wasn't made for one reason or another, but then came along Basick Records, who saw the potential in these young chaps that hundreds of people up and down England could see, espescially the folk who attend the local shows in Peterborough, and so, the release of "The 33 Sessions EP" was made official and was to be distributed via Basick Records.

"The 33 Sessions EP" contains 3 fantastically structured songs in the form of;

  • Delete The Sky
  • Machines
  • Into The Sun

The EP, gives such a melodic, yet technical feel about it, one that you could listen to and go crazy to, yet could also relax to. There isn't many albums or EP's around that can give you a mixed bag of emotions such as this. The frontman for Visions, Leigh "Til" Tilbrook, certainly has a unique style of vocals, but it pays off, and in my opinion, has some of the best high screams in the industry today, and his clean singing vocals are certainly up there with the best, the standard of said clean vocals become very apparent whilst listening to "Delete The Sky", arguably the best track off of the EP, (but only just!) however,because of it's vast mixture of relaxing melodies, yet madness in the shape or the guitar duo, Dan Maywood & Jake Monson with their off-the-wall riffs, it certainly leads the way for many of Visions' fans.

The EP, is without a shadow of a doubt, beyond it's worth for the purchase, costing a mere £2.37, and I for one, am very pleased I have the ability to listen to such a great band at my disposal! Basick are reknowned for attaining the best up and coming bands, and they've struck a gold mine once again. I now look forward to the release of their debut album in the latter stages of this year, and hopefully will return to this website and give my views and opinions about it.
